Â鶹ֱ²¥ Department
Overview
Â鶹ֱ²¥ Department courses are based on the belief that the study of language and literature is the vehicle of creative and critical thought. Their appreciation for language and literature is enhanced through exposure to an assortment of texts and interactions with teachers and peers. Students further develop language processes which enable them to become effective and mature writers, speakers, readers, listeners and viewers. By using skills and strategies to construct, extend, and examine meaning, they learn to search for understanding, appreciate uncertainty, and inquire responsibly. The processes and knowledge gained in Â鶹ֱ²¥ class enable students to connect with other disciplines to explore issues and solve problems.
